I bought an all original '72 Bavaria 3 years ago with a seized engine (repeated head/overheating issues). Old carb engine and auto trans out, newer L-Jet 3.0 and 4 speed in (but sloppy!). I'm thinking of going back to carbs for simplicity and I have the intakes and Zeniths already.
Has this been covered in a previous discussion?
I'm making a list of things that will need changing; fuel pump and throttle linkage, for sure, but what can I use from the FI system, if anything?
