Took the old boy out of the garage yesterday having not driven my 72 CSi for a few weeks. I noticed a puddle of gas under engine. On cursory inspection it seems it may be the cold start injector. Can these be rebuilt or reconditioned? I will get in and pull it, but thought I'd see what scenarios might be in front of me. Anyone else come across gas leak in engine bay?

Hard to tell the real root cause.

Typically rubber gets brittle and cracking or junctions get loose over time.

Before I started pulling parts, I would wipe everything clean, get a fire extinguisher and place it nearby, and run the car looking closely for the leak. If you had a puddle, you should be able to see where it is leaking.

You can jumper the fuel pump at the relay underneath the rear seat, so you don't need to mix a fuel leak with a hot exhaust. I hope it's either the oring or the hose, both easy fixes

Still keep a fire extinguisher to hand...
