I have Mr. Poliakoff's spin-on filter adapter that I used long enough (10-15 seconds, not kidding) to find it won't seal against the block mount. The mount appears to have been gouged by a PO so the adapter doesn't make a tight seal. I've decided to stick with my bottom-mount filter and all its inconveniences. $100 plus shipping.

Well I guess a gouged block mount, (filter head) says it all.

This from an e24 forum... ..."If anyone is on the fence about this, I have bought this kit from Bert a couple years ago, over at BigCoupe.. he is a stand up guy, and this kit works very well.. I use a nice and large
Mobil 1 M1-301 filter and it works great..
Pete"

Bill,
I installed one of his spin-on adapters last week , no leak, clean look and time saving!
You may want to replace your filter head!
