New blue tool kit cloths sourced by me. Exactly as original and complete with proper logo. I can also furnish the valve adjusting tool shown in the picture. $40 for the cloth shipped and $10 for the valve tool OR $43 for thr pair.

I don't think he's trying to deceive anyone, it's clear the cloths and tool are repops. Lots of people want a blue cloth for their tool kit, correct or not (he's not saying they came in the e9 kit originally), Murray and other threads have always made it clear they did not. Good luck making one of the valve tools like his from a penny nail. Small price to pay to complete your tool kit if it's missing. My $.02.
My E24 toolbox came with a blue one just like the one in question here.
Having one sure beats cars where you reach around and only find dirty kleenex...
And a valve adjustment tool is just a few cents worth of wire as well.
Do you earn concours points for adjusting your valves with a tool you just paid $35 for? Some of these concours tool kits are a bit overkill, soon these cars are going to be relegated to trailer queen status and never driven again. What's the point? Another friend made a longer one out of the copper core of a piece of romex. It's actually a much easier to use tool.
Bert, I know this topic has been brought up in the past several times but where do you have proof of a blue towel being supplied with E9's? Are you just saying its cool to have one with our cars? Seems kinda pricey for a non-original piece.
FYI, the late great Murray Fowler had in-person proof of what came with and didn't come with the E9 and its been agreed on by most that these style "rags" came with the later 3/5/6/7 series cars. Just curious where your historical data comes from.
Dan
Oh, and where did the $35 number come from? If that’s the case, I can see why you have become a ‘Wire Bender”
