Tool Kit Police...

I just stumbled on 4 red handle Heyco screwdrivers for the E9 tool kit:-D

There are 3 slightly different styles... The lettering style/size/color

Which one is correct for a late 1974 E9?

Where did you find them? I don't think there was only one proper style, they all have the hex shank. Keep the best, sell the rest. Or mount them in a frame and hang in the den!

how much do you want for the second best one (assuming you are keeping the best one)?

While all 4 of the large screwdrivers are probably the same, but I believe the one that was fitted to the original CS tool kit was the imprinted white lettering version.

Darn it Bert, what if mine doesn't have the white letters? Sigh, I might as well just sell my coupe right now!

RSPORSCHE How about a trade?

I will trade you one Heyco screwdriver for a pair of RS 36mm plastic stacks and TBs...
Seems fair to me:-D

What Porsche stuff you got to trade?

$60 for a screwdriver. I love this hobby.

We can always start a discussion about the two different manufacturers of the spark plugs that go in the tool kit.

I have the Bosch ones with the funny ground electrodes. Anyone have the Beru?

I actually would like to know more about this...do you have a pic or a heat designation number for these? Mine are 145T30's

I have the Beru plugs and I blame Paul Cain for this one as he gave me several. I have a decent supply and have given them to fellow coupers when we get together.

Chris, what are the Beru size/heat range markings? Are they equivalent to W7's W8's etc...

Steve,

They are at home in my toolkit, not in my engine, but they are the vintage Beru plug for our coupes with a pinkish cast to them. I can check the numbers tonight.

Beru

Here you go for the Beru plug.

The color gives a bit of flavor to the grey toolbox :)
