I’ve never seen a blue voltage regulator-has it been painted or ? Still has the front ignition orange diagnostic port. Lovely car!

Hi Stevehose, honestly I wouldn't know as I am new to the E9 trip. Can you show me the part you are referring to? This is my fathers car which he gave to me. We had it restored in Madrid, and sadly when we got it back it broke down. That picture of the engine with guy peering into it is the mechanic from the tow truck. This was November 2023, its been in the garage since then. Very frustrating, I want to have it running in next couple of weeks!

Anything else you recommend I order from them?

Didn't you know anybody with electric and electronic knowledge?

I think your problem is easy to found with somebody with that knowledge.

Are you sure, that the valve is working?
Have you seen it tested outside of the engine?
Or they just clean it.

I am not sure, I think they might have just cleaned it, but not sure. I will ask tomorrow.

Your brake fluid reservoir appears to be low on fluid and you should post detailed pics of your engine bay before you place an order with Walloth.

If it is 1,2,3 or 4 they are likely wrong.

The e9 forum has a djet loaning library.

You pay shipping and we loan the part.

We have Ecu’s to loan out.
Neat. I'd like to loan a CSi form the library. Do you have one?

Don's a busy guy and his posts are sometimes cryptic. But if you study them, you can usually figure out what he is saying.

If you look at the second picture Don posted, there is a nipple without a connetion under the expansion tank cap. Thus, the second item Don suggests is a small hose that attaches to that nipple. It runs pretty much straight downward from there, through the opening in the body where the fuel rail comes up into the engine bay. You then leave it open below that opening. Its purpose is to expel excess coolant from the engine bay. With the setup you have now, if your car overheats excess coolant will shoot directly toward the driver into the firewall, then all over your engine bay.
