After rebuilding the A/C blower speed switch I found the backside gets pretty warm almost to hot to touch. Situated near the blower intake and made from ceramic I assume BMW intended to passively cool it. Well, that won't do...
CPU heatsink and thermal paste, done!

Honestly, I just opened up an old pc and there it was. Had to do some trimming and put some heatsink compound on it. Used some wire tie wire to hold it down.
