Guys, I am selling my very nice 1972 3.0CSi. Pertinent details are as follows:

Tundra green on tan leather (per Cert of Authenticity)
Originally an Italian market car - never had US turn signal holes cut!
5 speed Getrag conversion
Brand new front & rear leather seats reupholstered
Newly reupholstered door panels
Newly refinished wood trim
New Carpets & sisal mats
New rubber door seals
Freshly refurbished gas tank and radiator
Original Becker Europa II radio
Power windows
AC
Just polished and re-anodized the aluminum body trim
16 inch Coupe King Alpina style wheels
CSL chrome fender trim
Alpina steering wheel
Brand new upper and lower dash - i.e. no cracks
Newly refurbished gas tank
Original elephant skin trunk upholstery
Perfect headliner with no tears
Trunk lid tool tray, but no tools
Original owners manual in perfect condition along with service manuals

I just spent $31K having a thorough mechanical refreshening done on the car that culminated with a new 3.3L D-Jet motor being installed. I have the original matching #'s case as well.

The car has spent most of it's US life in Texas, so it is about as rust free as you will ever find. It is extremely nice cosmetically on the inside. Very nice on the outside as well, but just a nice driver. Not a concours car, but an excellent car that can be taken as high as the new owner desires. Highly detailed engine compartment. No evidence of any accident repair ever.

Odometer shows 91K miles, but true mileage is clearly unknown on this sexy 44 year old. Pics are attached. I will add a link to a dropbox folder for more pics tomorrow.

Asking $59.5K PM if interested. No trades please..

Best regards.

Did you buy this one out of Texas/Ohio from Russ Turner when it had velour seats?

This looks like one of coupeguy's old Tundra Green ones, 2260953, right?

It always looked like a nice one!

Beautiful car, all I need to do is sell my liver. I like the color combo and sounds pretty solid. Any chance I can come check it out? I am in LA.

Yes. This is Russ's old car. The velour interior was nice, but not done correctly, so I just had the entire interior redone in leather.

Yeah,

I have lusted after this one for years... Tundra, CSi.... I prefer the leather to the velour personally. Where did you get the seat kits from? GAHH or WorldUph?

Did you ditch the heated seat setup as well?

I had Ron Perry at Vintage Motorsports Group redo the interior.

Seats have never been heated that I am aware of!

Russ told me he had installed aftermarket heated seat pads in the front during the velour redo but never connected anything up for them.

How is the paint on it overall?

The paint is very good as a driver, but it ain't gonna win any car shows close up.

The best part is that the body is very rust free, so this car works for one of two people:

1) The perfectionist who is looking for a rust free car that has great bones, is strong mechanically and can be taken to the next level.

2) The guy who just wants to have fun driving it as is, knowing that it is mechanically strong and has lots of eyeball.

I drove the car about 20 miles yesterday from my mechanic's house to my Man Cave and got 3 excited thumbs ups from motorheads along the way. I can drive my Ferrari all day long and never get a thumbs up. Crazy!!

I will be posting more pics in a couple of hours. Stay tuned.

Gorgeous car, although never a fan of those chrome CSL flares; even on real CSLs.

Probably my favorite color of E9. Love it! CSi w/AC is uber-desirable! Plus the 5-speed and it's a winner IMHO.
