My car wouldn’t start yesterday. This was after driving it for an hour last week. My guess is a clogged fuel filter so triage will ensue. Not an ignition issue as the starter fluid fires up just fine, but the motor never catches.

Also, I successfully killed my battery by not leaving it on the tender. Too dead for the HF tender/charger to kickstart it anyway.

Need to take it in to see if it is mostly dead or dead dead.

Edit: Confirmed it is dead dead!

Swapped out Amber for Clear blinkers and installed my new CoCo Mats...about the peak of my mechanical skills!

BikeRider, the checkerboard design is really nice!

RP
I started to strip my RC090’s
I have all 5 completely taken apart, I have started down the road of refurbing them.
I think I’ll actually send the barrels/ rims off to be metal polished.
I don’t think I have the patience for polishing rims myself, I think , I do change my mind a bit on that.
I normally do my own work, but I might make an exception this time.
I have been quoted €75 per rim to mirror polish them , and at home I think I can’t match the finish that the polisher promises so I think it’s a no brainer really.
I have ordered 170 new bolts and 170 new nuts , new valves new centering rings and I am planning on sandblasting the cast centers and etch priming them and spray painting them myself then rebuilding them .

Good call Barry. Those wheels are SO much work. Then you second guess the results if you try it yourself. Best to have experienced technicians with all the tools to do them up right!

I've restored two sets of RSs myself, and two Style 5s. I agree, so much work! I had the LMs on my M5 professionally done. I just dropped them off and picked them up a couple weeks later. Oh yeah, and wrote a big fat check - it was worth it. :D
