My hood torsion bar decided to snap where it was previously welded by the prior owner. I had someone send over one and it ended up being too big so I need to find another...

Also when digging in to my windows not working I figured out I had a motor that actually broke one of the mounts and then it stripped the window lifting gear. So if someone has a front left - drivers side- electric window lifter please let me know! I can pick up locally in SoCal or pay shipping. Part number- 51331818995

Also I noticed that this piece was in my trunk and the door was taken apart when I got the car. Seems like someone didn't know how to take the door apart and broke this piece so if anyone has one? It's the upper left plastic piece for the arm rest. I believe the part number is- 51411815235
But that's for a black one, I prefer tan but would consider any color.

Pics of carnage attached!

The failure of those two parts is a pretty common on e9's.

The hood torsion bar assembly can break or wear out in several ways. Fatigue where the arms weld to the tube is common. Can you have the arm re-welded back on (not easy, as the tubes have thin walls)? New tube-arm-torsion bar assemblies used to be available, but I believe they are now NLA. A used part may soon fail in the same manner, though it could be your only alternative..

That plastic part from the door handle is a another common weak point on e9's. Yours probably didn't fail because someone didn't know how to take the door apart; the plastic gets brittle with age, energetic passengers yank on the door handles (hey, it's an old car - you must have to slam the &^%$# out of the door!) and they fail. Fortunately, new reproductions are available (try LaJolla Independent, http://www.bimmerdoc.com/parts-finder ). Again, a used, 50-year old part is unlikely to last for very long.
