My head hurts having to make this selection LOL
Mercedes 300SL Gulwing '54
BMW 507
Bugatti Veyron Vittesse

The first two were easy, but that third space is a tough one. So many fine selections before me... and sooooo many others worthy of the list.

Come on guys, I said money no object, within limits, so let's say the limit is $500k, that will rule out some of the exotica
I mean who wouldn't want a Ferrari California Spyder or a Delahaye or even a Gullwing( even though they supposedly drive like a truck).

So let's make it
One classic
One weekender
One everyday .... and a three car garage for them to get cosy

What??!! Now we have to be sensible. I've already dreamed my dream and I won't let you kill it! :) My list stands; Peter's Fjord CSL(sorry Peter-somehow I get your car in my dream), Miura, and FF.

"Everyday" really isn't fair for those who live in northern climates (says the guy who moved south 4 months ago after 55+ years in New England). Does the $500K include the garage?

Classic - CSL (I've got a 2800CS which is close enough for me)
Weekender - Lotus Elan (someday...)
Everyday - 2002 - My new-to-me 2002 "showed up" in June. I've driven it everyday since it arrived.
Three car garage - check!

Pretty psyched on the car front right now. An Elan would be the schnizel.

Well then, with a $500K budget...and since I have a 7 car garage in real life.

1934 BMW 315/1 $300K
Datsun 2000 Roadster $20k~
2007 BMW X3 3.0si 6-speed manual (own) $12.5K
That leaves $167.5 for expenses and maintenance.

That is just plain weird. MGB GT? Really?
That's like me saying "1964 Ford Falcon wagon because that's what mom drove"

To fit the 500k limit the purchase could be dependent upon how many miles and age of the latter two.

BMW 3.0CSL
Audi R8 V10
MB/AMG G63

To me, the problem with putting a modern dream car in the garage is that aneven better version will be available in one or two years. I remember when the F430 came out and I thought to myself, how can it get any better than this. Then came the 599 and then F12, and even that will be eclipsed soon. That's why I decided to only dream about older classics where there's no "rat race," and performance is second to historical significance.
