A previous owner installed a sports steering wheel from an E24, 633CSi on my E9 3.0CS. The turn signal cancelling prong is not long enough to engage the finger on the turn signal and thus it does not cancel. I DO NOT have the original wheel. Anyone have any experience with an issue like this?

I cut the canceling prong off the sports steering wheel and used the original pressed-steel one, which sits on the steering shaft under the wheel.

I looked up the part on the BMWfans site and it looks like it's 32 32 1 118 825 described as a "retainer", still shown as current and used on E21, E12, E24, also the E3 and E9. The E24 picture was clearest.

Pelican parts list it with the description "Cam" and they'll have to order it from BMW. Their picture shows it quite clearly.
