Rear side trim question

Hi all, I was looking to get new trim for my car and I have a question.

I need the rear right trim for an LHD car. W&N had all except the right one. Fay at jaymic told me they had them but when she went to look she saw something odd and was nice enough to send me some pics. They are BMW originals and the left and right don't look the same. So, I wonder if this is normal and are the pictured ones an LHD or RHD car?

yep, there is a problem with the one on the right. looks like they didn't finish grinding the end ...

Hi,
the following issues exist on the BMW´s reproduction of the rear trims:
- they were either too long (as on first pic) or too short (as on second pic)
- the rear corner doesn´t follow the body line, it points downwards. This cannot be corrected since you are not able to bend the trim upward.
- the end was kept open and not closed

Furthermore, I was told that a reproduction of the rear fenders does not have the same shape at the factory car's have, so here original trims will also not fit perfectly.

trims for LHD and RHD cars should be identical by the way.

Thanks all, I guess my mechanic could finish the grinding and polish it. Assuming it is long enough. I will ask Fay if she has a good one, and then she could return this one.

the alternative is to buy good used ones. i had mine stripped, polished and ceramic coated by Speedway.

Yeah, that is an option. The existing were pretty OK but since it a full high quality resto I thought I would get new ones and keep the old as spares.
