The systems are similar,
but I recall abandoning the idea because the donor car I looked at had different hose connections on both the steering box and the pump. This is purely from memory. I would guess it might be easier if you were transplanting the entire system (including steering box). Yet that raises other issues, such as a change in steering ratio/effort.
Who knows, maybe it would be an improvement from the original. :wink:
