Have you checked with the dealer or other routine suppliers?

Realoem suggests a joint is available

Here is the part number listed: REPAIR KIT SWIVCL JOINT (2) 26117518304 $67.80.

http://www.rmeuropean.com/Part-Number/Drive-Shaft-U-Joint-__26117518304_GMB_2890D039.aspx $29

I would expect there are cross references out there too.

For what its worth, when I suffered a similar experience with an E24, I took my driveshaft to a machine shop to "de-stake" the joints to replace them. I asked at the time if they had replacement joints and without asking more they produced two joints bearing a TRW logo on the packaging. Alas, I did not concern myself with making sure they fit, as they at least felt as though they did after they were installed. The shop has long since disappeared, as I would be glad to call them up for additional info.

hth and good luck!

My reading of the diagram suggests there are two joints for the driveshaft and both are the same. Notice that it says "2" for the application. Unless you have a driveshaft that has been modified or is otherwise not original, I would expect the joint depicted would fit. Out of curiosity, do your joints have a provision for greasing, i.e., a Zerk fitting?

You could go directly to Spicer and ask them about the joint you seek to replace: http://www.spicerparts.com/identify.asp

Buy from the dealer, both are the same. This job takes some finesse and patience! You must get the new joint centered in the yokes perfectly!
