I have for sale a pair of new unused Solex carbs complete on manifolds with new fuel pump etc....these were removed from a new BMW exchange engine in 1972 when engines came complete. Was going to place on ebay but thought I would leave them here for a week as someone here may need them. Located in Sussex, England. Would ship anywhere at buyers expense. Sensible offers.....
Alex.

I have no idea what to offer on these?
If possible please give me some idea of what you might be looking for. Also, are you looking for any parts for possible trade?
Thanks
Johnny

In my opinion NOS parts are always worth more than restored parts. My uninformed amateur opinion is $2k. The buyer should keep these uninstalled as a restorationreference.

These carbs sound like they may be better suited to someone who has a really nice E9 or doing a correct restoration. I just have a driver with worn out webers.
Thanks
Johnny

most nonsense with regard to these carbs is based in nothing solid,
zeniths are increasingly apppreciated these days, far gone when i bought a set in the us for 75plus shipping total 100
us sets are usually not very interesting for euro owners due to specific additions for us market
euro sets might be used for us cars sometimes
lots of uk found zeniths are for csa cars
there are many different specs
fom 2500 to 3.0
adding air aux valves
with or without antiself running solenoids
nonsense is a rebuild like new for fivehundred, unless you do it by yourself and invest 500 in spares, most spares including some bmw ones are incorrect or crap
this set has more interesting things, fuel pump, manifolds
2k mentioned is not right, seller is correct in his price but for the right car, car specs are unclear but i may have a clue
this set is very nice, and seller is reasonable, very silent, though
not speak nonsense... priceless
