Hi - have been a member of the forum for some time, and finally have scored a car!!

'72 3.0CS in need of restoration. Decisions, decisions, decision on how to build it! I am leaning to a 'period tuned car' with some modern twists. We shall see.

I lean your way but you will be flooded with different opinions like a bad Holly carb. Welcome.

the resto-mod is a common pathway. Keep it looking close to stock and period correct but update parts for safety and performance.
better seat belts
3.5 L engine (triple side draft or fuel injection)
delete side markers
5 speed transmission
16" Alpina wheels (or coupe king look alike)
There is a lot you can do and still have a great looking period correct car
