There was actually a thread in the general discussion forum speculating about this car. Well my dad and I purchased it last week and picked it up this weekend. Its going to need some work, but I am really excited to get it going. Its a 71 model and per the Bmw Group archives its Nachtblau but is looks a little Baikal.

It has some dings and dents and is going to need some love but we aren't new to BMWs. I have had 3 2002's, 2 e36 m3's, e46, e92, f31, e34, and e38's. I cant wait to get this going so my dad and I both have something to take to shows and group drives. As soon as I finish prepping my 02 for the vintage, I will get the e9 on the lift and start putting a parts list together.

Again, I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and picking your brains and parts stashes.

Welcome!

Apparently, people who own '71 2800CS's love to hit that front right corner (like mine):
