6spd? Looks like a fun driver. It is a ‘73 despite the e30 VIN and “3 series” reference.

E9 looks actually pretty cool in flat black!

$19k may be a good deal if it all checks out. 6-speed? WTH? Kind of pointless, but w/a 3.64 rear end, would be ideal.

Credibility is added to the matte black finish when you have a whole fleet of matching matte black cars.

But the beer tap shifter may speak to a different crowd.

Hey guys, this E9 belonged to me and was in great condition for how old it was. Very minimal rust issues as Gordon can attest to. The 6 speed was a type error caused by fat fingers so I apologize for that. The vin number that was put into the ad was just a bunch of numbers I threw in the ad to complete the process to post it. The car was not all cut up and there was no missing parts or mouldings. She’s going to become a beautiful resto when completed. I couldn’t give her that luxury due to owning 3 boats under 25 ft and a larger 60 ft yacht. Priorities they say. My love is for the ocean and not for cars much anymore. Gordon I hope you read this and know that I’m happy she found a great new home and owner thats going to bring her back to her original beauty. Good luck to you and to all that called about her. Joe

Ah, love for the ocean - that explains the license plate. Congrats on the sale, and glad to learn that it went directly to its new custodian. Thank you for posting some backstory. Cheers!

PS the car in the backdrop is not a Ferrari. It’s a Catfish built in San Marcos Calif. Look them up. An absolute kick in the ass track car that’s built to your specs. Ask for my son Jake. Cheers my brothers, Joe

Hey autokunst before you talk shit about my paint job, maybe you should get your cheese ass out of Wisconsin and see that around our parts guys are buying brand new cars and dropping 10K on a matte black paint job. And the beer tap shifter speaking to a different crowd.......when your son asks can he put that on the car that he helped you with you say yes cause that’s what a good father does asshole. Know the story of the car before you talk your shit about it in your little dark room on your computer where you feel so powerful with your keypad. Now go back to watching your porn. Joe Russo

Wowsers. Joe, I think my comments were taken differently than intended. I don't want to agitate you any more than I seem to have. But know that my comment about the matte black paint was intended to be a nod to how it was slightly elevated with two matching cars in the frame. I'll stand by the tap handle shifter comment as well. A different crowd isn't a bad crowd. I am originally from Chicago, but when I moved to Milwaukee 12 years ago, a beer capital, know that beer, beer tap handles, and beer history are pretty important things here. And they are usually seperate from the topic of classic cars, driving, etc. There was no hidden derision in my comments. And certainly no need to name call. I think you'll see from my subsequent comment in this thread, I am thrilled that the car was sold to a new owner (rather than a flipper), and look forward to watching that new owner, in your words, "bring her back to her original beauty". :)

I am all about the love of the cars, good craftsmanship, and the camaraderie and good spirit found on this forum. :D
