I'm one of those who thinks build threads is the best thing there is for a rainy day, or late nights is maybe more correct.. I'm sure there has to be others who like to read various build threads as well. This being the off topic section, I thought we could share different kinds of projects, builds, etc. Anything from houses, garages, cars, motorcycles.. you name it.

Interesting Ruxton build thread:
1932 Ruxton Build Thread or "How I became an unwitting restorer"

Same guy as did the Ruxton, Continental Mark II content:
Continental Mark II Engine Compartment Freshening

Needs registering to view, but totally worth it IMO, 159 pages of jaw dropping ferrari f40 restoration:
Ferrari F40 LM Restoration

Still going P1800 to 275GTB-S project
Volvo P1800 to approximation of a Ferrari 275GTB-S

Still going Dino project:
Dino 206P Metal Kitcar

Unfortunately the first 71 pages are now without pictures, but there are still alot of porn to be seen:
Homebuilt M1 Racecar

A friend of mine is building a crazy Pantera De Tomaso with a BMW S62B50 in his shop, still going:
Metal Fabrication Pantera Project

Fantastic concrete home + garage project thread:
The Concrete Underground

How to, or how not to? :) build your dream home in Mexico:

Now let's see some of your favourite build threads!

We document most of the restorations we do, although probably the most detailed build thread was for this ultra rare outside latch 1961 E Type Coupe that we delivered earlier this year after a 5,000 hour restoration. The restoration book ended up at 400 pages and 1200 photographs, although there were well over 2,000 photos on the webpage build thread.

Some of my favorites have been added. Barry’s projects on the car lounge, including the Ruston are quite impressive. He doesn’t bag and tag anything either. He just remembers where the parts go!

Check out the ongoing blog at dpcars.net. I’ve been watching their racing products evolve over time. Very impressive stuff.

Another old school thread that impressed me. This guy was quite young at the time. He moved his 16v motor behind the seats of a caged mkii golf. In the process fabricated full racing aerodynamics.

This is my favorite. "Project Binky". Not exactly a "restoration" but this guys fabrication skills are unmatched anywhere. An inspiration to get me to improve my welding. If you have never seen it, start from Episode 1. Just try to ignore the jokes.....

Binky is a great show indeed. The self deprecating British humor can be a little much at times but the quality and ingenuity of the work largely makes up for it. On top of that it is superbly well filmed and edited.

Trivia question: What equally brilliant series is the show opening a ripoff/homage of?

I just finished looking/reading through the E-Type restoration, that's some next level skills and extremely detailed work @Dan Mooney , fantastic to see!
And @adawil2002 , I hadn't realized until now that Vern is also a total show stopper (I should have known better), it's absolutely beautiful.
