Considering the great advice from Chris and Rob, I got under the car to make sure the hoses were tight. The hose from the reservoir has a typical hose clamp. The other hose has the banjo fitting going to the steering pump. Both of these hoses were bone dry. The forward end of the box has a set screw (allen key) with a jamb nut. There was a drop of fluid under that at the bottom of the box. What would happen if I loosened the nut and turned the set screw tighter? That's where I have my very slow drip leak.

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the nice review,
I have been quite busy, and have not visited the e9 Forum in a while.
By the way, congratulations on Chamonix!

Best, Jay

I just had Jay build a pump for me as well. It is sitting on the shelf at the moment waiting for a future project! Came back looking great.

Hi E9 Owners,

I am still rebuilding PSP and Hydro PS Gear Boxes for e9, e3, & e12.
I has been a very busy Summer, I was swamped, working 7 days a week.

Brake Pressure Regulator Part Number: 34344750020

I now can rebuild the e9 Brake Pressure Regulator, I just finished my first one.
I searched high and low for 6 months, for the Rubber Seals.
I finally had to have them custom made, and this time they fit, but theywere are hard to install,
As most rubber is not sutibule for Brake Fluid.
And I had to order a more supple rubber that allows it to be streached onto the piston!

I have yet to add this as a New Item on my Website.

PLEASE Review, My NEW Website, Link : https://www.jaysbmwparts.com
Send me an e-mail

Best, Jay
