The lift pump alone works very well with Webers, and I'll know shortly how well it works with a Quadrajet.
We're talking Weber down drafts, not side drafts, yes?
The lift pump puts out about 3 psig, sufficient for downdrafts as well as side drafts.
Triples need more volume, I wonder if it's enough
I have weber downdrafts right now on my '74. The engine, however is a later model with no mech fuel pump provision. I'm currently using an electric pump like this:
As an E24 owner, I would think the price of the in tank pump is enough to dissuade anyone from using it.
