I met Wendell for the first time today. It's not often I meet a So. Cal Coupe owner who's been at this longer than me. I started in 1987. Wendell bought his Baikal Coupe in 1982. We'd both attended the massive CoupeFest gathering at Laguna Seca in 1993. And we've known all the local characters that have moved in / out of the E9 world over these 40+ years.
Wendell had contacted me about my WTB post on 1974 inner fender liners. In a very gracious offer, Wendell had a pair that needed a little love, he refused payment. I promised I'd post photos after they are restored. It is no wonder these liners are so rare, the material for the 1974 U.S. design is tissue paper thin. I am elated to have some cores to work with.
