'Classico' is the style or name of that type of Nardi wheel. It's the same type of wheel you've seen on E9s, MBZ SLs, etc... What's important for an e9 application is the hub, and Stan's hub is more desirable because it's solid. You can only get the accordion style hubs now, the solid hubs are no longer made.

Will you take $450 plus shipping costs?

My two cents. Steering wheels are one of those items where the older they are, the more valuable they tend to be. One can buy a new 390mm Nardi for $350. The period solid hub will cost $115 to $150. The horn button, period or new will cost $130 to $150. You can replicate the wheel for around $600, but it will be new (for better or IMO worse).

If you do decide to piece one together, make sure that the period Nardi wheel has a brass horn contact. They cost about $65 and are recently NLA. If you buy a used wheel without the trim ring, a new trim ring is also about $65. I didn’t include above because a new wheel comes with the trim ring.

you might be able to find a solid hub for $115 ... but it will take quite a while and a lot of luck. i would say $175 +/- 25.

That was also without shipping. If you like to spend your evenings looking for car parts have at it! $200 isn’t uncommon. $150 is fair, $115 is cheap and rare. The only reason I went that low is because I found one at that price a few months ago. There is one on ebay now for $155 shipped. It is missing the horn ring which as mentioned costs $65. So your number of $200 is certainly relevant.

The point of this exercise was to highlight that the asking price is reflective of market rates.

I have the same wheel that came from an 80 MB SL. I just need to find the correct hub to swap out. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.

start looking on ebay but you will have to be very patient. they do not come up very often. when they do, they most often come up with the wheel at more than Stan is asking. sometimes you have to bite the bullet, buy it all and sell just the wheel and a horn button.
