Front Grill Fixings

I am not up to this stage yet (by a long way) but I can't see what the outer fixing screw for the front grills (near the indicator light) would screw into. There is nothing obvious on mine or am I missing something.

John, There is nothing on mine either. I just left it out. You may be able to fabricate a 'Z' piece with one leg attached to the tab where the headlight bucket bolts to. There seem to be plenty of other screws that hold the grill in place without needing this side one.

Here is a photo of where I mean. At the outer edge of the wing. What have others done to fix the grill - does everybody leave this screw out or add a bracket ?

what to do

Hi John,

At this stage I would put in the headlamp buckets and try to bend that brace so the hole matches up. I did not do that so I have to drill a hole and use a bolt for the third fastening point. mine was crunched. I straightened it out but missed the mark by an inch.
