I apologize for the non BMW content, but the red Merc is (was) a killer car too! Back then MBZ was not interested in supporting racing, much the same as BMW at the time, and so the AMG guys built their own car. It only ran a few races but kicked some serious bootae. Alas, it was soon relegated to the status of 'it's just an old race car' and over the years bits and pieces were removed to the point where the car no longer existed.
