Absolutely Brilliant.....Its like artwork.

The problem is once fitted, all the other imperfections
will show up.

I guess you just have to rechrome all the other bits,
or
Buy brand new Trim Line Center etc etc etc.
But....Would that be too bling....
Who knows...Would love to see it though.

Well done Rthss1,
You are opening new horizons:love:

@Johnny D thanks.
I had all my chrome parts re-chromed and waistline/windshield trim polished during restoration. You can check in my resto thread.

Guys I have few sets that I will be restoring (4). I have options to have slots polished, chromed or painted in black.

If anyone is interested I can make slots how you want it no deposit needed I will restore them anyway.

Frame will be chromed.

I could also have them polished here in fact I had them polished and ceramic coat applied on my first trial.

When polished they were shinny enough but after ceramic coat applied they get more dull (no as much dull as for example layer of lack) but ceramic coat does not last long and scratches are seen way to fast.

I had my windshields trim polished and ceramic coat applied only because I was afraid that lack or chrome would crack during installation of belt into the rubber.

But price of polish + ceramic coat was cheaper and in case of any damage to the grill you can simply polish it again that is a plus.
Hello, there is ceramic coat available special for aluminum from CERAKOTE.com that is the only ceramic coat that if you apply will make it more shine and stronger than any other coating but it is price. Cerakote Clear - Aluminum MC-5100

I have also removed the frame from the plastic mask and had it chromed to match the chrome grill.

Condition of the plastic on the mask is very good - no visible cracks and attachment points are not broken off. Will put it together this week and post photos.

Grills finished and assembled as well as headlight buckets.

They came out good but not perfect due to some dots (deep stone chips) on chrome finish.

3 slots went missing in the chrome shop so I only have 3 complete grill frames. 2 complete grill frames with black slots and 1 complete chormed grill.

Headlight bucket set I only have 1 set L/R.

Price per grill - 350 USD

Price for headlight plastic bucket with chromed frame (plastic had no cracks) - 450 USD

All these are sold. I found another grill in the attic that I will restore in the future, but due to the replica grill coming on the market soon it definitely won't be worth restoring them in future any more.

Just received these a few days ago from RTHLSS1, simply beautiful. All e9coupes should have been fitted with these chromed bright works in place of the anodized aluminum bits. Analogous to The rear chromed brass center plate fitted on the early 2800 CS coupes.
