I don't know the terms but which is the correct setup for the distributor and spark plug connections? Meaning, should they both be the post-style where the connection slides over a threaded post or should the spark plugs be that way and the distributor cap be the type that make the connection on the outside of the wire? I have a set of wires that use the post-style on the spark plugs and the dist cap, but the original cap and new cap has the plug-style connections. I'm pretty sure I have the wrong wires but can you get dist caps with post-style connections for a '69 M30?

The wires are AC Delco and really good quality. Should I modify them with different ends?

No threaded posts in M30b30 distributor cap (wires should be at right angle) but insulators on plug wires use the spark plug threaded post.
