I dont have dimensions on paper
that piece was formed by side by side comparison with the piece that came out. but I can measure next time I am at the body shop if you are looking for a specific dimension.

if it wouldn't be too much to ask, that would be great thank you!

Hi,
I am sorry, I think I got this post wrong. I was thinking you would tell me a specific side of the part to measure. the whole part is quite complex to measure because there are curves with changing radius. and the part is on the car.
but if you want the whole piece I would do my best to make some technical drawings with dimensions.

let be know.

you may notice that the base of the A pillar is also removed. it seemed that there was accident damage.

the reflections change according to the way the sander was used. picture doesn't do justice to how smooth that metal is.

awesome stuff!

I've been thinking about hot to mount a rotisserie on an E9. Some do it w/o a long 4x4 down the middle underneath, some do it with like you.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks
I think the piece down the middle helps keeping the car straight especially if you are going to remove all the strength from the sides while replacing the rockers.
by putting it in there you have the car just resting on the frame with out stress. or at least that's what I was aiming for. Still, the braces inside are also very important.
when we removed it all the sheet metal that we put back on was still fitting perfect.

cheers

Granted I am no expert but I have never seen the flares made from metal.
Very nice workmanship!
Thanks Stan

the original flares were metal, so I am just restoring them the same way. This car never was a race car but just a crazy street car of a playboy.
it also has the built in bumper at the back which is not practical probably :)

cheers
