Any tips on how to replace this? I put the new seal on the hard pipe from the reservoir but can't get it into the master cylinder! Do I put the seal into the cylinder and then try and slide the pipe in? Any help greatly appreciated! Regards, Rohan

Managed to persuade it in bit by bit with a large flat head screwdriver. Hope it seals this time!

I lubricated it with brake fluid a pushed it in, may have held it with pliers but I can't remember.
Glad you got it sorted.

Hi Cornishman - yes thanks. I think the seal that came from the rebuild company just wasn't as good as the ATE one from BMW. the old one was a harder rubber and less 'fat'. Just thought i'd add this for future reference in case someone has a leak there. Regards,

Rohan
