Best place for O2 bung w stahl headers?

For those of use in the header group buy do any of you professionals out there have advice on where best to put an O2 bung (primary, collector. Resonator inlet pipe)?

Not a professional, but on my E28, I extended the header collector pipes back into an X pipe, where I put the bung, and then back further unto the cat back bypassing the cat.

FWIW I put mine in the section of pipe which replaced the middle muffler when I removed it.

After the merge assuming a two into one and then muffler/cat.
