BaT Encinitas CA event

Only saw two E9’s this morning at the Bring a Trailer gathering in Encinitas CA. A 2000 CS in Chamonix and a ‘74 3.0 CS in fjord.

I admire the guy in the 2000CS because he drives it and enjoys it despite the extreme patina of age and use, and I admire the guy in the 3.0 CS because he has resisted the groupthink and kept the big bumpers and the automatic. Let the car be what the car is and enjoy!

Yes, admirable on both counts. Even though the first thing I do with any old BMW is switch out the bumpers.
