I believe Markos was trying to help verify the year of the car since it did NOT have the port.

So it was on both CS and CSI models?

North American coupes had it, might have been a DOT/EPA thing. You can read dwell, RPM, voltage and remotely start the motor through these, I have a ‘Tune-box’ that I use on the 2002.

i'm pretty sure that the spacers showed up earlier. i am not sure that the spacers existed on the 2800cs or not.

Me neither? Is yours Euro also? I thought that the strut spacers showed up with the 2.5mph bumpers, or was that earlier?

No, not Euro. At least according to: "2270038 was manufactured on February 3rd, 1970 and delivered on February 24th, 1970 to the BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City. "

Not sure if I have spacers; haven't taken apart my struts yet.

You can’t tell if there are spacers based on how far the rubber cap sticks up on the fender tops.
