94 E320.

Already had the wiring harness, head gasket replaced. All new suspension. $137k miles, but she's been babied. Been in Santa Barbara all its life.

$6k. Not bad. Dunno if these things will ever increase in value, but they didn't make a whole lot of the 94/95 "facelift" coupes w/the bigger M104 engines.

We , over here , have 3 oneliners :

- every farmer that respects itself, drives a Merc....
- if i want to drive a Merc.... i take a taxi.
- better a star in your windshield , than one on the hood ....

sorry ... you understand i'm a BMW fan... :D:D:D

Hah! No problemo. I didn't think I'd be getting one, but I fell for the looks, cleanliness, and the fact that the wife can drive it (automatic).

Ya I know. I'm into musclecars (Mopars; aka Chryslers) and have had friendly rivalries for years w/the Chevy/Ford (and occasional Pontiac) guys.

aren't Chevy / Ford guys more rivals ? I have friends in the Ford camp ( Cobra , Pantera ) which use to say a BB Chevy is a great starter motor :D:D

I suppose, but when you're an outlier like a Mopar guy, EVERYONE is your rival.
Rob, this is one time when a change of wheels has meant a whole new look. Much improved. At least I think so.
PS: I would leave the windows down. Something about that look.

My Brother had a 92 300CE for a long long time. He drove it as his daily even though he has some rather fancy and newer cars. I think they drive amazingly well on the highway.
The last Mercedes where the engineers ruled over the marketing dept. He went back to stock sized rims for improved steering and ride quality. Great looking 6K car

They are a competent drive all around.
What I most enjoyed about my time behind the wheel of his Benz was the fantastic tracking and long legged highway feel, very stable and relaxed at speed
I think it was a great driving experience....
Not something you hustle through a corner, but I can appreciate what Mercedes offers.
