Given what we're seeing on the car, I'd suggest that the table is not flat (few are). An alternate theory is that the top of the door is not correct - but that seems pretty unlikely. Regardless, with new clips in place, I'd imagine they would hold the trim in line with the top of the door and everything should look good.

^^^those clips hold the cloth window seal in to the channel. The ones I posted I believe are the right ones and if they are, then they are still available. 51 21 1 803 685

It would be nice if you could confirm the part number so if someone else runs in to this problem they can reference this thread.
Benny has not told me and I have not seen it but I think it is what you had posted the picture of. He was able to somehow restore the ones he got or something or another along those lines. I will report back tomorrow. Again, thank you everyone for your help. Benny says he is fixing everything on my list with a huge smile. There is a car show in town tomorrow and he wants to show off my car and put some of his business cards in it. He is excited and I am too

Benny asked me to come down today to check things out with him. He specifically asked me to video tape the progress so we could show all of you. He also requested some burgers and beer, with some added poodles. I obliged to all.

He is taking care of ALL of the issues pointed out in the last video. He's proud of his work, as he should be.
It wasn't done today for the car show, but no big deal. Who ever said the car would not be done until August was right. Again, no big deal. I want to give Benny the time to get things done right.
A few things worth noting:
The car looks gorgeous, especially the paint. I expect it will likely be done next week, but not pushing him at all.

By the way, I know many of you don't understand why I do videos and think Benny doesn't like it. Firstly, when I started this project, I asked Benny if I could document the process and post publicly. He was not only fine with it, he was excited by it. I hope to edit all the videos to create something cool that he can use for marketing and would be interesting to others thinking about painting a classic car. As far as why I video things, I have been doing this for sometime in my business and my life. I like to share, and it is super simple to do so. Many people seem to be interested in what I share and appreciate it. I understand that many others don't like to share or feel uncomfortable being video'd. I get it, but please try not to judge me if you don't understand me. Frankly, I would LOVE if more people would do it. It would be fun to get to know many of you and to see your cars in videos. The tech is easy and posting is free. I would just ask that you don't jump to any conclusions unless you are certain about your judgements, and even then why bother. Let's continue to keep this positive.

- the windows are not moving to the top when doors are shut. They can't seem to figure it out. Any input is appreciated. I replaced all motors with e24 motors installed by Bill Arnold in SF shortly before the car was brought in, along with door alignment. At the end of the day, if Benny can't get this done right, I will find someone who can. I don't think it is the end of the world. If you have any input, let me know.
- the trim on the door referenced above is still not sitting right. Benny looked at the clips shown above but thought they were too long. See the video for his explanation.
- Need to replace the alternator. Someone here recommended this one. We replaced the simple stuff and the belts, but still isn't charging. This is not Benny's issue, but he may help install, unless you think a specialist is needed.
- Antenna gears are worn, and need replacement. Not a big deal.
- Will need to repaint area at the top of the doors to remove waviness.
- Some other very minor things, but not worried about at all.
- We all agreed the the bottom trim looks crappy. We previously didn't think it needed to be replaced, but now with new paint job, your eye goes to it. Anyone know where we can get this trim?
- Oddly, tires still not holding air. I will bring back to Les Schwab.
- He is going to fix all the fisheyes. Yay! I was most concerned about those. He said they are easily fixed.

BBS RS wheels are 3-piece.
Make sure the silicon bead is in good shape. Often it can get messed up when they mount the tires. If it has to be redone, run one bead, wait 24 hours, do another bead (w/your finger of course), and wait another 24 hours to setup.

I’m guessing that the tires aren’t holding air due to improperly sealing the wheel face and barrel. They need to be sealed with silicone or a premade BBS seal. This is something that should be taken care of when buying $3,000 refinished BBS. Les Schwab won’t do
this kind of work either I presume. Benny’s shop could do it though.

Window motor issue.
I have a newer motor in my driver's side front, an old style in passenger side. Neither goes all the way up when the door is closed. So I open the door, it goes to the top. I close. Problem solved.

Watched your video. Your car looks super cool. I absolutely love the BBS RS on a shiny black e9 with lots of chrome. Such a transformation with the bumper swap, and the all aluminum front grille looks great also.
