Sweet Alan- A picture is worth a thousand words. I'm sure the engine bay will be next and yes, I agree that color is fantastic. Question; is that an original 1-piece carpet set that I've been told was available in later e9's?

Thanks for posting!!!!

Cool to see some non factory colors from our adventurous members. That looks like a "fancy fjord" blue! :D

Original

I redid all the wood with the standard french walnut and all the interior was perfect when i bought it
all all the interior is the blue
i had the leather seats done years ago and they have been sitting
in my bedroom for 14 years
the guy who did them only did cars for the bebble beach concourse but he did mine when he saw the car
had all the alum inside redone so it will be nice
yea all the interior is orig and i love the one piece carpet
got the headliner from sms which reproduced the orig way back for a csl
its perfect match in white
thats the idea the car was fdord so i foung the porsche 79 lt met blue

Looks really great Alan! Have to say that it's a very long time since I've seen a non-original color on a coupe and actually liked it as much as any of the original colors. Guess it will pop even more out in the sun. Nice pick!

Cheers,

Alan has not met me but I know Ullrich and Kel for the past few years. They are old men (~80 years old). Ullrich used to specialize in building s38's, s14's and the such. Alan's has JE 94.5mm 11:1 forged pistons, some head work, etc. Ullrich was meticulous in how he built those motors (torque plate, how he replaced his valve guides, etc). I watched him assemble one of these motors a couple years back.

Do you have more specs on the engine?
What kind of clutch/gearbox/diff are you going to use?
