I have some NOS 3.0 CS trunk emblems on my car. The end of the pegs that pass through the trunk lid are hollow as if they were installed and braded in place. I talked to Carl Nelson yesterday about this, he said the new emblems are made with solid pegs and he uses double back tape to install them. What are you guys doing to secure these when you replace them?

Thanks, Doug

I used either the black plastic nuts or the metal sleeves that you insert from the outside and push the roundel into them. Check with Jaymic in the UK.

I made threads (M5) on the pegs and fastened the emblem with plastic washers and nuts.
Works fine!

Mounting trunk roundel

On the BLUMAX--insert black "hats"--(available from Mesa Performance)--after snipping a tiny bit off the ends that go first--squirt a little silicon lube--and push roundel pins into place.

The advantage of using the black plastic "hats" is they effectively seal around the pins and holes thus moisture is prevented from entering through the drilled holes in the trunk lid.
