What Airlines do you Avoid and Why?

I have been travelling far more than I'd like for the last 4 years, and so far nearly every experience with American has been a complete mess. Delta has been my go-to when given a choice because at least they have been mostly reliable. In terms of averages, American is averaging about 10%...

E9 / E3 Fuse Panel / New Product Upgrade / Review / Converting to modern blade style fuses with LED status mode

Having been on the road and having issues finding barrel fuses, I'm going to switch when I can. Over the last 10 years or so the general availability of the OEM fuse style has dropped precipitously. Just to be clear, I'm really glad Galahad's making these, and I want to support the community. I...

E9 / E3 Fuse Panel / New Product Upgrade / Review / Converting to modern blade style fuses with LED status mode

Would it be better to have 2 options? I, for one, want to see Ezz's project finish!

Converting S38B35 to use vac-style brake booster

Thanks for the info. I'm surprised BMW put in 2 but the other manifolds mentioned only have 1. Given I'm using a 2002tii booster, it should be ok to have one, then. In that case, can I tie in the many 1/8" vac lines on the ITBs together and 'power' the booster that way, then I don't have to...

Converting S38B35 to use vac-style brake booster

Howdy! A while ago, I acquired a S38B35 to put into my E9. It's been sitting, waiting, on an engine stand for a bit while I gather all the requisite conversion parts to switch from my current M30B35 / Motronic 1.3 / Getrag 265 setup. One of the things I noticed is the S38B35 E28 implementation...

    My 1974 Inka S38B35 project

Nice! I remember seeing pictures of reinforced cars from certain race shops (and Coupeking) so I am glad you already handled it.

Given all that work, I'm a little surprised you didn't weld up the seams to improve torsional rigidity.

    Fuse box upgrade (prototype)

Looks like PCBway can do a heavy copper board too: https://www.pcbway.com/pcb_prototype/Thick_Copper_PCBs.html#:~:text=The%20Advantages%20of%20Heavy%20Copper%20PCB&text=Increased%20current%20carrying%20capacity%3A%20Heavy,handle%20even%20larger%20current%20loads.

    Fuse box upgrade (prototype)

Can you use a thicker substrate and increase the solder joint size to distribute your thermal load over more mass? Might help to drop the temps.

Set of new / unused reproduction BMW workshop manuals (the “blue books”) + Brooklands Road test book - U.K.

Where did you get the blue book reproductions? I've only seen physical copies in binders.

    Kit to turn a Getrag 265/5 into a 6-speed - Netherlands

Straight-cut gears are part of why superchargers sound the way they do: (at least usually, I think some of the newer centri-style ones have planetary helical boxes)

    Kit to turn a Getrag 265/5 into a 6-speed - Netherlands

Looks like this is built for vintage racing. Only 400 Nm? No forced induction, then. Also, yes, straight-cut could be extremely loud. There also does not appear to be any provision for a speedo drive. The shifter surround looks nice, though, and is fully stabilized. Since it's a H-pattern, I...

    My 1974 Inka S38B35 project

Yeah, I'd like to see more about that too. Is the evap core very small, or did you relocate some of the internals? I'm in the middle of doing something similar so it would be interesting to compare notes.

    M30B35 Swap Project

I used a standard Motronic unit from an E28 mounted external to the tank, it's been working well for a long time. The sock can get clogged in the tank, though, especially with modern fuels.

    Help with Ebay Kleinanzeigen (Germany)

I managed to snag a wiring harness off there a few months back, but yeah, it's really frustrating to constantly see hard-to-find parts up for somewhat reasonable prices that I can't get just because I don't have an EU phone number. I've thought about trying to get an EU burner phone just for it...

    M30B35 Swap Project

There are also hydroboost options, like from the E28, but most people don't like the associated failure points that go along with that. As far as I know, the only one that works is from the 2002tii. It clears the B35 intake with ~1-2" to spare. I was then able to fit the same master cylinder...

    More parts from 'race car'

BMW still sells the badges, but they look like the ones on the left of your picture, so not raised lettering, nor metal, all plastic. The C-pillar ones are metal but not commonly available last time I looked.
