this car raises good questions
- plastic coolant reservoir or metal reservoir? we know the regular 74 CS / CSi had plastic ... i have heard that it should be metal
- flag vs. trap mirrors?
- black screws on the air dam or silver screws?
- has the black fiberglass rear bumper and the black rear...
new subject of the day for the CSL faithful
we know that most 2275 cars were city pack cars. the current thought is that most Bat 1 + 2 cars were mostly city pack cars ... but there are some outliers that had mostly lightweight features. do we have any sense / knowledge of any Bats with...
yes it does, but did it have one originally ... that is the real question. 036 has been restored. early pics i have seen of 002 had a flag. 016, 022 and 033 have traps. but i didn't see them in 1974 ... and i trust Gerrit - much more experience in this matter than what i see in pics. if i...
@halboyles what is the link of the selector rod you need?
curious (for info to put into the FAQ) - what is the selector rod length for the 4 speed and what is it for the 5 speed conversion
for dimensioned drawings of the rear armrests - check out post #6 in this thread

most companies that make these don't work with stock springs - usually they are made for 2.5" coilover springs ... so this is a good approach. i remember reading this post back in the day but forgot about it. thanks for posting
yes, i did that. i removed the outer panel - took the vinyl out of it and cut a piece of black perforated metal to fit. removed the ash tray portion and mounted the tweeter ... then put the cover back on.
here's another idea that i saw on the forum a while back - 2 tweeters in the...
if this car came from Oldenzaal, its not very high praise for their workmanship. i know they are getting better, but they obviously cut a lot of corners on regular coupes.
This is a GUESTIMATE as i have not followed these wheels that closely recently. they look to be well restored which easily can add 100 to 150 / wheel ... most oem wheels in quasi-rough shape, if they sell, are usually $75/ wheel +/- $25 ... so my guess is anywhere between $600 and $1000...
hi Chas, quick note (please read in the context of trying to be polite) ... as standard FPS wheels, you might find that you will be storing these wheels for a really long time at this price. they look very nice but usually sell for a fraction of your asking price. positive note, these are much...
do you want one with perfect wood or one that needs to be re-veneered? do you need the black metal trims? it is likely that the veneer / color might not match the rest of your dash if you get one that is already redone or a good survivor. i do have one that would need new veneer
glad you found your old login - only @dang can comment on the donation and getting it applied to you. in the meantime, i would recommend changing your login / password to something you can remember and use with your newer computer

Wes, thanks for your comment.
i originally had the Alpina / Momo Prototipo wheel listed as the original in the first draft, followed by early carb cars with Alpina / later ones with the Petri ... and i was talked out of it. i have seen several early 2275 cars that also had the Alpina wheel...
good work on the box - i have an extra piece of the rubber holder if you ever want to replace that part without buying a new box.
next time you pull the tool tray out, pop the vinyl panels off the trunk lid and tighten the vinyl up on the panels + re-glue. it makes a tremendous visual...
i loved our e12 and the e3 - had both at the same time. the e12 had a few minor design issues - mainly the rear windows. a bit more refined than the e3 ...
the e12 is kind of like the e21 - great cars / great values in todays market compared with e28 and e30. what i like about the e12 / e21...
