    Another Fjord on BaT

Chris--The seller took the CSi on a trade for the Cobra. They have the titles for all of the cars in their inventory according to what they told me.

    Another Fjord on BaT

This was a nice driver in the most popular color finish. Last Friday, their reserve was $110K. They showed me the listing on their computer. The previous owner probably had at least $150K in the car. He traded it in for a Cobra and took a loss for a car he preferred to have in his collection...

    Another Fjord on BaT

I test-drove this car this morning. I wrote my comments on BaT as "2002Drew". I never looked at the "style lines". I never even heard of that term until this auction. I was impressed by how easy the doors shut and the fit of the front and rear windows. A CSi engine idle is smooth compared to...

    What's Reasonable Time at Mechanic

Herman--All of the above advice is from experienced E9 owners. I would make sure that your coupe is not outside subject to rain & sun. That can cause a whole bunch of other problems not on your initial list.

What did you do to your E9 today?

Clutch nylon bushings replaced. The restoration shop inserted the bushings on the pivot of the clutch pedal where one of them got deformed. I could feel the pedal had a slight creaking when shifting at slow speeds. The 2 bushings were about $4 at the dealer. A touch of lubricant on the bushings...

    Carpet question

Bert--Thanks for the interior compliment. The German square weave is color # 503. I have the lines oriented north & south. Their driver piece that goes under your left foot is wrong! Doug McKenzie has the correct piece from GAHH and we made a template of his black carpet. They sent the correct...

WTB--The float in the brake reservoir

JB Weld is a good idea. I wonder if the float in the EBay pic comes off and will fit on the original assembly. Has anyone tried that?

WTB--The float in the brake reservoir

My e-brake indicator light kept flashing red. I found the float was half full of brake fluid. The seam must leak so tiny that the fluid will not come out. Has anyone drilled a small hole in the float to allow the fluid out and found a product that will seal the seam and drilled hole and still...

    Carpet question

Bert--I used the GAHH German square weave carpet with my tan interior. I always liked the square weave in the 356 Porsches. It's not original and neither is most anything in my coupe. The sisal mats are over the carpet in the first photo.

W&N special: Turn signal and wiper switch for 2800 CS and 3.0 CS USA up to model 1973

I bought the turn signal switch/stalk on EBay over a year ago as a NOS. The plug terminals were aligned differently from my stalk wiring. My mechanic had a special tool to align the terminals to my wiring. The stalk now works correctly. That could happen with the W&N stalk also.

I attended a show 2 weekends ago that was a continuation of the Boca Concours, a very prestigious show in Boca Raton that had famous people like Jay Leno as the master of ceremonies.
