My goodness, you’ve been quite busy. I would propose that if you currently reside in a metroplex that you go with a hidden antenna. Won’t take up room or require drilling(my least favorite subject. Measure 15X, cut once). There are all sorts of options out there. Only mention the hidden...

Am curious. Did your 635 come without an audio system? Otherwise, a relocation? A power amp for better reception is a great idea. Not sure if The Hirschman Power Antennae came with an amp? Most of the ‘Benzes I encountered while working at a MB/BMW Dealer(IMHO, Best of both Worlds) in the...

Really like props, including an antenna cable. You must do illustrations as a trade!

    Antenna placement

Can attest to the moisture issues. My ‘74 E3(3.0S) had a power antennae on left fender about 2-3 inches from the windscreen. A couple of testy Winters at College in WI did in the motor. You’re correct about the placement. Debated relocating to either quarter panel. Luckily, replacement Hirschman...

Would propose anything German though the sky could be the limit. Visually saw a Clarion in a Eurocar which the owner stressed came with the car when purchased. IMHO, don’t think Clarion existed outside of The USA until well into the ‘80’s. Subaru back then cornered the market. Worked for SOA...

Geez Chris, You are a plethora of trivia information about Bimmers/E9. Certainly worthy of a Moderator. Thanks, Hugh

Really? Wonder how I didn’t see it getting done at the dealer where I worked. Think I would’ve seen it since I worked as a porter in service. Hmmmm, well guess I’m not too old to learn something. Did recall most 2002/tii’s had pillar mount Bosch Antennas mostly on the driver side if alone in car...

    Antenna placement

SenT both pics of my E3 and E9. As you can see, both antennas are on the driver’s side. Either the left front fender or left rear quarter panel. Strangely, my previous E3 from ‘74(3.0S) a power antennae was installed on the left front fender from the factory. Part of a luxury feature with a...

Any chance I could snag both parking brake cables? Mine are barely usable. Name your price. Thank you!

States your coupe has lived in.....

Let’s see… My E9 came through normal Hoffman Distribution channels as a Polaris automatic, electric sunroof, power windows with black leather interior coupe. Spent most of its’ life in the SW USA, going through multiple owners. Prior to a 2013 restore at Coupe King in Wilmington, CA the prior...

    Matching vin numbers

Trying to track down a few VIN’s of my cars. Previously, went to BMW Classic Center/Munich though now heard they are closed. Would it be possible to share your source?

I’d hope that if/when they apprehend Gardner, he is strung up by his testicles and left in the dungeons to rot.

WTB Trim Rings and Hub Caps for ‘72 Bavaria Sn# 3102048

Have the Alpina Wheels on my E9. See pic. They look great and IMHO look better than the Factory Alloys(Cromodora?). My 2002tii does have the Cromodoras. They look well and from my memory were OEM to the model. My original ‘74 3.0S had an “Alpina” type when which came from the factory. It looked...

What are you valuing your e9 for insurance purposes

Scott, totally forgot when you began this process. What was the approximate time they took to finalize an agreed value for your E9? Reason being, when I first spoke to Hagerty, they had agreed values right away. Realistically, if you go in with a “unreasonable” number say for instance $250K...

WTB Trim Rings and Hub Caps for ‘72 Bavaria Sn# 3102048

Scott, thanks for chiming in. Not pursuing an absolute original though you can see from the older picture that the trim rings and hub caps really set off the car. Ancient Kodachrome. Car has the honeycomb alloys presently from a E28(?). Hugh
