    Another Fjord on BaT

Perhaps it's me but can't you see the 'mirage effect' on the panel? How looks kind of mottled and not offering a true reflection coming off the body work? Suggests to me that the car hasn't been properly blocked when the body work was done as the surface only does that when it's not flat. I'd...

    Another Fjord on BaT

I hate knocking cars but aren't we missing the glaringly obvious in this picture?

    M30B35 e34 $2900.00

My goal in life is to be able to totally slay an entire thread with two words. Not once but twice :D I'd love to know how much time/pain/money you have saved members over the years.

CSL - changes during production runs <DRAFT>

Pretty sure carb cars didn't come with a 38 Petri, that was later, but with a Prototip wheel?

    Taiga CSL at Bonhams UK

Reckon you are right. I see lots of brittle looking hoses on brake servos and suspect fuel lines would be same. Don't like knocking cars and there's a lot here that seems ok but will need a proper sorting.

    Taiga CSL at Bonhams UK

Looks like somebody adjusted the bleed screw with a can opener.. Looks like good bones (writing from Australia) but see lots of little things not quite right.

    BMW E12

I think E12s are a bit of a sleeper. Think back 5 years and the MLE was sort of an unknown. Now it features on magazine covers, BMW museums etc. That lifts the profile of the model generally. the M535i is also a pretty cool (and rare) car that's also coming into it's own. Throw in some racing...

    BMW E12

For those that follow such things I dragged home a 528i project (read near wreck) a few days back. The 528i was the top line E12 other than the outlier MLE and the later M535i. My question is this. E9s, E30s and even E28s (M5 and M535i) are all moving away in values - seemingly on a consistent...

    Another Wes & Lola Adventure!

Happy to give updates, unless the mods rule it out of order :) Used to own a 318is, nice cars.

    Another Wes & Lola Adventure!

Things started getting a bit frayed around the Young household toward the back end of the Easter break. Two solid days of rain didn't help. At Lola's suggestion we went for a 'Rain Drive.' Plan was to do around 100km in a loop to the south from our house, with the obligatory secret stop for an...

    FS RHD Dash parts

Having a clean out. Vinyl sections are good but timber needs some love. I also have the gauges. May consider cash/swap for LHD dash or other parts. Located in Australia

    CSL Auction Australia

If memory serves this car has a low vin for the RHD CSLs. I believe the first 50 or so cars are known as d 'drive back cars' as they were driven back to UK to be used as demonstrators/show room cars. I know a few of these and all seem to have manual front windows and electric rears. Happy to be...

    CSL Auction Australia

As far as I know RHD CSLs all came with alloy doors. There's a load of info on here about it. The 'Pack' makes them more comfortable to drive etc but make no mistake they are still a full CSL with all of the other lightweight bells and whistles that LHD injected cars had.

1971 Euro CSi on BaT--yes another one!

Then there's the burden of moderating.. :D I do love this place though, we are such a reasonable bunch - most of the time. Genuinely mean that..

    BAT: 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL

I'd say depends on condition of the car and skill of the restorer. Based on my experience, you could turn out a very nice CSL for 100k AUD (not counting the purchase price) if you do a lot of grunt work yourself - that's where it hurts you as you are paying by the hour. If you are prepared to...
