This might be a big request; but if you still have parts from this car, would a portion of Part # 41 35 1 815 607 (left rear side panel) be available? It would have to be cut away, and shipped to California USA...not sure if that's possible for you? Let me know if you are interested in...
Chris;
(I think) I was searching in the e3 category...and if they are e3 stock; then I'd love to have those stock springs...front & rear...
If they are e9...then I'd only be able to use the fronts...
Please let me know how much I can send you for the shipping cost:
my zip code is 94801 (Richmond...
If this has already been covered in the bluetooth era; please forgive me for starting a brand new thread...
But I have a couple of questions for e3/e9 owners...
1. What is the best sounding true vintage 2-knob, semi-period correct radio we can find?
2. If one went with a true vintage Blaupunkt...
I'd like to find an OEM Bus steering wheel in decent shape. Perhaps you have upgraded and have one to spare? I'm fine with the hugeness of it; but mine (on my E3) has major cracks and may not last me forever. Let me know if you have one available, please.
Ideally I'd like to go with the internal pump solution...but I am curious; Do you have a part or model nuber for the pierburg electric primer as an alternate to the Carter?
I did the Leslie Wong conversion for my '72 Bav. The Carter is a rather loud pump. Sounds like a large colony of hornets has invaded your trunk. But it does solve the summer heat-soak vapor lock fueling problem quite well.
That said; Mike's solution looks much better to me.
I am now wondering...
Also interesting to note that Realoem / maximillian BW65 parts catalog does show the little "oil seal" as item 20 in the diagram...but there is no corresponding # 20 in the parts number table ..:(
I am hoping the one that comes will fit as expected...
I am in the middle of replacing the speedo drive cable on my 1972 Bavaria...with BW-65 AT.
I just ordered this part from England:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Triumph-STAG-SPEEDO-DRIVE-OIL-SEAL-O-Ring-BW65-Automatic-NEW/231533012386
In the meantime I did find an o-ring that fit pretty well at my...
I could use one of these if anyone has a spare...mine has gone missing.
61 21 1 353 680
They are still available; but I don't need a spanking new one for my old driver.
Anyone cleaning out their spare parts bin?
Borg;
if you end up recovering those rear headrests in black; I would love to re-use the brown covers (assuming the brown fabric has any life left in it?)...my covers are very sun-fatigued.
let me know...I'm in the North Bay Area).
Hmm...I push my BW65 to 70 with regularity...sometimes somewhat higher actually...am I going to regret it?
I mean, besides regretting the poor mileage, that is...
