The stripped body shows the line at which the E3 floor pan has been shortened for ca. 2 1/4 inches (between the white arrows). Could somebody provide similar photos of the original E3 floor pan for comparison?

I don't know, what it is.
It was not present at that location before the restoration (see my photo from february 2016 with non-original BMW 3.0 CSi-Motor).
In the meantime the restoration of 350/4 has also progressed with the following steps:
- car dismantled and all parts and their position documented (765 photos)
- Manufacturing of 1:1 patterns from 5 mm aluminium panels for the broken windows, which got damaged by vandalism during storage in...

Meanwhile 350/4 has received some used E9 standard FPS wheels to get it rollable (the steel wheels had the wrong offset). We are still looking for the optional BMW FPS alloys as shown in post 15. Also the wrong funeral car trims have been removed. The broken windows (front, rear, sides) have to...
I have done my homework and found Charlie Richardson. He sent me the photo below, showing his 1971 BMW 2800 GTS Frua Coupé (comm. 350/3), when he received it on 21st November 1982. Unfortunately he cannot remember, who got the car in 1988/89. So the chances to find the car disappeared. :(
