I was told when I bought my CSL that it had the last factory replacement engine of its type. Ive spoken with Mobile Tradition, but they couldnt tell me much.
Any thoughts oh wise people?
Engine number is 3OLD 0494A022
Cylinder head number is 1705784.9 and is dated 1984.
Thanks!
My CSL needs some bodywork repair due to a low speed accident.
Can anyone recommend a garage in central ish London? I want the best job done possible obviously, and BMW Park Lane are dragging their heels.
Thanks
Hi there
After nearly 3 years and £30,000 my CSL comes out from restoration having had completely new rear panels, respray etc.
Over the weekend someone drove into the back of me (see image). Low speed, no injuries but Im gutted obviously.
All insured and want it repaired in London...
I had to have all new sills and all the inner/outer rear/boot panels, plus door skins done and then a full respray on my Taiga CSL. I didnt get much change from £30k :-( It sure adds up. I would also point out that before this work, outwardly the car still looked in amazing condition. But once...
I bought a pair of headrests off a fellow member on here, but they dont seem to quite fit. The steel bars from the headrest which fit into the scheel seat are slightly too narrow.
Anyone have ideas as to how I can solve the problem?
Thanks!
You will find most CSLs have black side stripes, but Ive seen them in other colours on cars. Mine has dark green for example. I imagine when new you could choose what you wanted?
For the amount of time and money spent on the restoration and judging by the photos, I think your asking price should start with a '4' and not a '3'!
Good luck.
The list specifies 'racing' steering wheel as one of the citypack features, but I have read somewhere that the first CSLs still had the larger CSi/A type steering wheel. Mine is no. 009 and had the larger wheel fitted when I bought it, so perhaps confirming this.

One of the last made. Decent estimate for a barn find.
Seems like too much of a coincidence for it not to be.
Interesting to see if/when it sells! It has the worthy (?) title of being the most expensive asking price for a RHD city pack CSL I believe unless anyone else can prove otherwise?
