question regarding classic/BMW consignment in MN, NE, SD, IA areas

Hello, I'm dealing with my dad's estate, which includes many cars (BMW E9 and others), and I'm seeking a classic car re-seller/consignment option in the midwest (specifically, the Omaha / Lincoln / Sioux Falls / Sioux City / Minneapolis areas). Not living in those areas myself, it's actually...

Anyone have paint recommendations to match the ivory interior color?

    turn signal relay

Thanks for the thoughts, everyone. I removed the L-shaped insulator from the connecting wires and hooked it up without the insulator and it worked. So, I crimped the connectors a bit to make them tighter, reinstalled them in the insulator, and put it back together; so far so good. Don't really...

Thanks, saw that, was hoping to repair rather than replace if possible...

    turn signal relay

My in-dash turn signal indicator is always on. When the turn signal itself is engaged it blinks a bit, from bright to brighter, though it never is dark. As I recall, if correct it should be dark unless engaged, at which point it should blink on/off/etc. So, I removed the turn signal relay and...

I'm seeking good quality (but ideally a good price too) leather hides for the interior. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

    Sun Visor clip unobtainium

Good god... Still waiting for someone to 3D print them for a legit price... When you do, I'll buy one for each side, and I imagine there's a booming business on here if you're interested.

    Door seal question

I bought that exact piece from the same seller. It's fine and about half the price as elsewhere; proceed without worry.

    differential installation

I did get new bolts, even a bit longer so they could bridge the distance better when mating up, and I pre-threaded them to be sure they would fit first. And I have become friends with my long pry bar. The only thing I don't have is the tranny jack, which will be my next move. Thanks again...

    differential installation

Thanks, folks. I've been trying to do exactly this...I seem to be able to get 1, maybe 2, bolts in a small amount and then I jiggle/persuade/shim/tilt the massive hulk of metal about in an attempt to get the rest to fall in line but they never do. Honestly, if I hadn't taken the damn thing off...

    differential installation

Thanks -- I'm using wooden planks, chocks, shims, and wedges to set things up as best I can. Not solving the core problem, though.

    differential installation

I'm installing the differential, which seems as if it should be easy ("reverse of removal" as they say). It has not been. There are 8 bolts on the bracket (4 top, 2 on each side; 4 side, 2 on each side) and 1 bolt into the rear mount. The car is on jack stands and I'm working alone. I'm...

    differential / driveshaft decoupled

I discovered the lock ring in the parts diagram too -- the part number is 23211490120. I'll be getting one and adding it back into the assembly; it looks like it can be used instead of loctite. Anyone know the torque specs for the collar nut? Thanks again to everyone.

    differential / driveshaft decoupled

Fortunately, it all looks good -- far better than the gruesome sound led me to expect:

    differential / driveshaft decoupled

Indeed, the collar nut was completely free from the pinion gear shaft, allowing the driveshaft to separate from the flange, just as folks here said was the likely culprit. I drained what little remained of the diff oil and saw no bits of metal, etc. Also I'm able to turn it all properly by...
