    A quick trip to Paris

They will be setting up RetroMobile. Pose as a striking worker, plenty of those around and no one will doubt you and sneak in.

Lilli Up For Sale 3 Months later

A true AMG w123 wagon is into the 2-400,000 dollar range. I think the wagon we are talking about is one that came through the recent Pebble Beach auctions. That sold price reflects it's unverified history. Still, a super, super car and I can't fault that trade.

Golf Yellow CSi on BAT - NMNA

It wasn't exactly the fuses I was referring to!

Golf Yellow CSi on BAT - NMNA

Photo 177 zoomed in is the most dire bulkhead shot I have ever seen. None of my business to comment on that site. Curious to see if it is brought up.

Golf Yellow CSi on BAT - NMNA

Looks like a nice enough driver. Picture 405 certainly backs up his statement about rust repairs done on the car. Seems like a nice, eager young man who went on a European holiday with a bag of money. I would take that youtube post down if he plans to be a knowledgeable presenter of that 750/101...

FS: CSL Option: BMW Mahle 7x14 wheels

Just commented...good luck! Markos' comparison with the later wheels was spot on. The early ones look so much better. My M535 with later and my coupe with earlier.....

    Out in the woods

............after taking care of the witch, Gretel goes around back of the gingerbread house and comes whipping around the front in this. "Get in Hansel, w'ere going home!"

    1974 3.0CSL on BaT

The listing describes the motor as being rebuilt, probably not to 3.2 specs? If the listing said it was rebuilt to 3.2 it would raise some flags.

    1972 CSi on BaT

I bought a car that was registered to a German "tanksteller" or, service station; one owner for thirty years. Still have the original service book...one stamp, probably for warranty obligations. This car that runs/rides like new has NO service records. Now, that won't make people happy when time...

    1974 Batmobile Tribute on BaT

I disagree with the naysayers on this. It's what a Singer is or any GT3; big spoilers and dual zone climate, nav, contrasting stitching and on and on. I like it!

    1973 RHD CSL FS

Maybe a vinyl top at one point? Quite a few RHD coupes had them. CSLs not so much, though.

Importing BMW to US from Europe

I have imported about ten cars. Federally, not much is new and is pretty straight forward as long as it is at least twenty five years old. It is individual States that seem to move the goal posts. The expert is not the guy who has done it the most, but the guy who has done it last. Personally, I...

Wagons are the best! I have this on it's way from Germany. Sportline/Brabus 5speed dogleg.

CSL on BaT - 2nd time around

I don't have any opinion of any of the above except for Markos' mention of the time for isolating the dissimilar metals in the CSL door. To me, that can be seen as an effort of corrosion protection. On this point I will argue that any such effort DID NOT HAPPEN. Karmann did not take ANY moves...

    CSL in Newport Concours Article

I happily sold my Heuer Autavia ref.2446 when this whole classy business took off. It's Valjoux 72 movement was found in the earliest Rolex Daytonas (then became Zenith) which, by the way, was also found in the Sears "Tradition" line of watches. Marketing made the difference. Commenting on the...

    33rd Techno-Classica Essen - April 12-16, 2023

Essen isn't the "City of Light" which is where Retromobile is and it isn't as quaint or full of quirky French vibe like Retromobile but it has the goods! Has good youngtimer content as well and it rocks! Two days doesn't cover it.
