    Seat rework

Your seats look very nice. I seriously thought about going to black, as it is so useable and straightforward. In the end I went with the tan as it was original to the car, and seemed to fit the Tundra with a 'soft' ambience an the goal was more a GT than a CSL.

Alternative Stainless Steel Exhaust system – gauging interest

Although delayed by a move to Ohio, we finished putting on an exhaust system using Ireland s/s ceramic coated headers and a series of Magnaflow mufflers with period twin resonated Ansa-style tips. While not to everyone's taste the car is near absolutely quiet in the cabin except for some muffled...

    Seat rework

While delayed by my move to Ohio, the new interior is in. While it may not be perfect, we tried to replicate the original materials as closely as we could to what the car was delivered with best I can tell. We also installed several other small tweaks, such as the seats are electrically heated -...

    Seat rework

test fitting We test fit the covers today in the continuing effort to reproduce the tan/beige style corduroy/velour cloth interior original to my car. All we have had to go with are very few photos, usually of other colors. It is interesting how the shade of the velour changes depending on the...

    Shift opening rub

After installing a 265 5 speed with short shifter and a coupe king wide center console, the shift lever still hits the edge of the opening going to reverse. What might I be missing? Many thanks.

    Murray

Very sad news. A great man who made a great number of people very happy. I imagine he's on those great blue roads in the sky. Rest well.

    Suspension suspense

Today the reinforced front and standard rear springs and rubber pads were ordered from W&N. The lowering springs were just to low for a daily driver, especially in the rear, although the ride was good. The new springs should be here in about a week or so. Will post side-by-side photos, and give...

    Suspension suspense

Results Picked up car today with the ST sway bars installed, as well as the Korman lowering springs and Biltiens. A very nice ride, can be a little stiff on potholed repaired roads, but very flat and responsive compared to stock. Terry Sayther even took it for a drive and commented how nice it...

Called Ben at LaJolla, and now Pertronix #1868 is running in the 72 CSi. Car is at Terry Sayther's getting the 5 speed (also from Ben), a set of ST bars and original BMW fender flares. I believe this car had them at cometime in the past as the fender lips were already drilled for them. Mr...

    Seat rework

Began seat disassembly; the foam and horsehair are in pretty poor condition, but the metal is good. Will cut some new foam to re-sculpt the seats as original. We have pretty good matches on beige corduroy, velour and leather from LeBarron Bonney to re-create the original cloth interior as best...

    Pertronix for CSi available?

The distributor on my 72 CSi, Bosch 0231 306 001, does not have a listing for a Pertronix kit. Do any D-jet CSi folks run pertronix, and if so, what is the number and where did you order it? Thanks
