    Windscreen removal

If there are allready bubbles, you can watch out for another roof skin for the repair. Normally from a non sunroof donor car, since sunroofcars without a rusted through roofskin is more than rare and hard to find. Prepping such a roofskin without the opening is a bit of a challenge, but doable...

    Windscreen removal

Barry, since the main issue with the sunroof is the area in between the frame and the skin, that you can't reach, if you don't devide these two parts, I'd only consider to replace the whole roof if the car had a rool over i.e.. But in this case you can't protect the roof against rusting away...

    Windscreen removal

Hi Barry, as you can see in my pictures, there's allready rustprotection paint (2 layers of a real good product called "Brantho Korrux") on the sunroof frame, as well as on the skins under side, after I cleaned it completely. The skin got an additional layer of sound dedending material, same as...

Stefan Ries is really nice to deal with. Quality is reasonable, but prices are way better for a lot of items (compared to the competitors, just my experiences for a couple of orders over the years). His shop system is a real weak point. It's often the case, that the system tells red/not avail...

    Windscreen removal

Just a note: If you can reuse the gasket (if it's obviously not toast), I'd recommend it. If you need a new one take this one for a third of the W&N...

    Baikal CSi for sale

So take your time and a deaper look what you see on their pictures. You won't find just a single E9, where they documented a high end (or even bare metal) restoration. All "nice" cars, no doubt about it, but far away from perfect, if you ask me. Most probably real good survivors I suppose...

the cabrios, an “unofficial” story: One of the most beautiful convertibles that BMW did never built ?

It was that specific Dreschel E9 convertible, that catched me completely back in the days (25 years already o_O). I planned to do the same conversion to my own E9, but because it was already a rather expensive car, spare parts wise, I decided to give it a try at a comparable cheap "test dummy"...

    Oil pressure gauge wiring question.

Here for instance: http://www.druckgeber-oeldruckgeber.de/vdo-druckgeber-ohne-wk-daten.html As you can see 10 Ohms at 0 bar is valid for all the various types of sensors

    Oil pressure gauge wiring question.

Yes, you are a bit too simple with this. These kind of instruments working as voltage devider. So the measurement is done in the middle of 2 resostors. One of them is inside the gauge (now I'm a bit simple ... ) and the other is the sensor, givi g resistance in regards to the actual pressure...

    Oil pressure gauge wiring question.

Bo, 14 Ohms is quite close to what it should read at 0 bar. VDO says: 10 Ohms at Zero pressure. So a new sender won't solve your specific problem imho. What's abour the gauge itself ? Maybe a ground wire problem ???

Special trunk badges 3,5 and 3,6, last run

Hi guys, allthough it really wasn't my plan, I did another and really very last set of handmade 3,5 - badges. This time unfortunantely the chrome surface is not perfect for more or less every piece. Number 1 in my pictures is quite nice, rather perfect chrome surface. Same condition for...

What do you think of this car

puuhuuuh, maybe the PO invested some certain money, but in my eyes it didn't increase value that much. If he invested in that bloody webasto sunroof nightmare, he did the opposit ! Even if he wasn't responsible for this "upgrade", he should have invested his money in replacing that bull shit...
