Just curious, what coupe do you have with the 4.10? I have one from a ‘75 CSi.

On ‘74s and later, the ballast is replaced by a clear resistance wire to the + side of the coil.

As for the hesitation, check/clean the throttle position switch. The copper contact traces on the PCB board wear away over time and may cause hesitation when cruising. For a replacement, check with SF Don…and get very friendly with him in the meantime as you will find for D-jet problems he is...

Wondering if there are ways to tell how/if our beautiful coupes have rolled over 100,000 miles? Worn clutch/brake pedal pads? Mine look beautiful at 83,000 miles, or is it 183,000 miles?

Much of the E9 world stops dead when SFDon is out of town…

You can find coupe key makers in Search…I used Keys for Classics a few years ago, happy with results.

Disconnect the TPS (engine will still run, surprisingly well w/o it.) If you still have the problem, you’ll know it isn’t the TPS.

Having the same problem with black/grey in my ‘74.

Looking to replace the original carpet in my ‘74 which is the two tone black with grey (?) loop ( I think, maybe it was black/white 50 years ago)? Now it’s more black/brownish. World Upholstery seems to have only solid colors. Is there another supplier with two tone color options? Thanks.

On the copy of the D-jet wiring that I have, #9 most definitely runs from the TPS to the ECU. My version may not be the most ”current,” I have found one or two discrepancies.

For some time I had serious hesitation problems with my ‘74 CS (with ‘75 D-jet) especially when upshifting, accompanied by hiccups while cruising. This started happening (after 10 flawless years of driving) at the very same time the MAP failed. So I had the MAP rebuilt, and much to my surprise...

Are the connectors used in Bosch D-jet fuel injection available from anyone? I’m looking for the 4-wire connector to the MAP (or MPS) sensor. Thanks.

Right, I usually ask for PayPal payment before I ship Especially for big ticket items. But I figure if someone produces a USPS receipt he had to have gone to the PO and shipped the parts.

I bought a used Saab part but didn’t PayPal the money until I saw a pic of the USPS receipt showing my address and the tracking #. I hope that is sufficient, but reading about all the crap going on nowadays, one has to wonder…
